About this share house

This share house is a good fit for people who want a roomy private room, and for those who want to experience English and other cultures in their everyday life. Most residents are in their 20s, and about 60% are from outside Japan.

■ Commuting
The house is a 6-minute walk from Miyazakidai Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line. It's 11 minutes to Futako-Tamagawa, 16 minutes to Jiyugaoka, 21 minutes to Sangen-jaya and 23 minutes to Shibuya. At nearby Mizonokuchi Station you can change to the Tokyu Oimachi Line or the JR Nambu Line. On the way from the station to the house, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and ginkgo trees in autumn.

■ Daily shopping
Diagonally across from the ticket gates of Miyazakidai Station is Tokyu Store, open until midnight. You can shop without getting wet on rainy days, and stop by even on days when you get home late. There is also a DAISO at the station, handy for the small things you need when you move in. A 3-minute walk from the house there is a My Basket mini supermarket and a convenience store.

■ Your room and shared spaces
There are 53 rooms in total, all lockable private rooms of 7.4 tatami mats (13.5 ㎡) or more. A bed, desk, chair, closet, air conditioner, refrigerator, curtains and lighting are provided, and each room has a balcony.
The shared spaces include a living and dining room with a kitchen, a lounge, a working room, and a fitness room with one wall fully mirrored. In the courtyard stands a tree about 7 m tall, with illuminations lit all year round. Showers are separate for men and women, and there are also women-only toilets and washing machines and dryers. A parcel delivery box, personal mailboxes, a vacuum cleaner, an iron and free bicycle parking are all available. The building has an auto-lock entrance.

■ Costs and contract
The monthly common service fee includes internet, gas, water and electricity. The minimum contract period is 6 months, and two people cannot move in together.

Residents came early to help set up, and costumed housemates kept arriving throughout the evening. Mini games like an "eyeball scoop" challenge and a mystery box kept everyone laughing, and more people joined than we expected.

About the rooms

The rooms are lockable private rooms of 7.4 tatami mats (13.5 ㎡) or more. Even the smallest room is 7.4 tatami mats, so there is space to spare even with a bed, desk, chair and refrigerator. An air conditioner, curtains and lighting are also provided, and Wi-Fi works in your room.
Each room has a closet where you can hang your clothes on hangers, so they stay free of wrinkles. Each room also has a balcony.
The wallpaper, flooring and furniture design differ from room to room. Some rooms have a natural feel, and others have calm colors.
