About this share house
This share house suits people who value both an easy commute into Tokyo and good access toward Chiba and the airport. ■ Commuting
The house is a 5-minute walk from Funabashi Station on the JR Sobu Line and a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Kaijin Station on the Toyo Rapid Railway. From JR Funabashi Station it takes about 18 minutes to Tokyo Station, about 20 minutes to Kinshicho, about 26 minutes to Asakusa and about 27 minutes to Akihabara. From Higashi-Kaijin Station it is about 3 minutes to Nishi-Funabashi, about 20 minutes to Monzen-Nakacho and about 25 minutes to Nihombashi. From Keisei-Funabashi Station you can reach Narita Airport in about 50 minutes, which makes trips home and travel days easier, and Maihama Station (Tokyo Disney Resort) is about 20 minutes away by train.
■ Daily shopping
Just outside the north exit of Funabashi Station is Ito-Yokado, where you can buy groceries at the basement supermarket on your way home. The main street leading from the station has Don Quijote, Daiso and other shops, and there is also the Tobu Department Store, directly connected to Funabashi Station, and a shopping street in front of the station where you can eat out casually. LaLaport TOKYO-BAY is about 20 minutes away as well.
■ Your room and shared spaces
There are 36 private rooms in total, each 5–6 tatami mats with a lock. Every room comes with a bed, a desk and chair, a closet, an air conditioner and a refrigerator, and has a balcony.
The shared spaces include a living room with sofa seats, table seats and counter seats, two renovated working rooms of different types, and a kitchen with a three-burner stove. Kitchen utensils, a microwave and a rice cooker are provided. There is also a TV, a computer, a vacuum cleaner, an iron, a washing machine and a dryer, plus a women-only toilet and shower. The building is a three-story reinforced-concrete structure with an auto-lock entrance. There is bicycle parking, and car parking is also available (at an extra charge).
■ Costs and contract
Internet, water, gas and electricity are included in the monthly common service fee. The house is for residents aged 18 to 39, and the minimum contract period is 6 months.
