While there are some slightly larger share houses in the Osaki area, most are small-scale renovations of private homes or floors of apartment buildings.
Osaki Station is served by the JR Yamanote, Saikyo, and Shonan-Shinjuku lines, and is the terminal for the Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit (Rinkai Line). It offers great access, being about 3 minutes to the neighboring Shinagawa Station, about 15 minutes to Shinjuku or Tokyo stations, and about 20 minutes to Yokohama Station (though a transfer is required). A bus terminal is located at the west exit, where, in addition to local buses, many shuttle buses to Narita and highway buses to various destinations are in operation.
Since Osaki is close to Haneda Airport, there is high demand for it as a business area, making it a region of interest. It was once an industrial zone with large corporate factories around the station, but after being designated as part of Tokyo's sub-center plan in 1982, the factories gradually relocated, and large-scale redevelopment around the station led to a boom in the construction of apartment buildings and office buildings. It used to be a town for workers, but now that the residential population has increased, supermarkets and other facilities are well-developed, so there is no inconvenience in daily life.
Why not enjoy the expressions of this reborn town from a share house in the highly convenient Osaki♪
